How To Root & Install TWRP Recovery On Infinix Zero 4 X574

Infinix's latest flagship smartphone: Infinix Zero 4 (X574) was launched running Android Marshmallow 6.0 out-of-the-box.

Android tweakers can testify to how hard it is to root most Marshmallow devices with even the normally awesome Kingroot app being unsuccesful in the quest to root the Zero 4

Today's tutorial would guide Zero 4 users on hoe to install TWRP Recovery on their device as well as rooting the Zero 4.

Rooting Requirements

  • A PC
  • USB Cable
  • SP Flash Tool - Download it Here
  • VCOM Drivers - Download Here
  • TWRP Recovery Image for Infinix Zero 4 - Download it Here
  • - Download it Here

Installing TWRP Recovery & Rooting Infinix Zero 4 X574

  • Save the SuperSU that you downloaded to your phone's SD card
  • Unzip the TWRP zip file that you downloaded and flash the recovery image to the phone using SP Flash Tool

  • Now, boot your phone into TWRP Recovery Mode (by Holding the Vol Up and Power button simultaneously for 5 seconds)
  • In TWRP, if you get a prompt asking you to swipe to allow modification of the System partition, tap Keep Read Only
  • If TWRP offers to root the phone, select NO
  • In TWRP recovery, tap Install
  • Navigate to the location of the SuperSU and select it
  • Swipe to confirm flashing of and wait till flashing is complete
  • After a successful flashing go back and reboot.

Rooting Confirmation

  • Download Root Checker
  • Install and run the app
  • You will get a root success message
NB: Be sure to Unroot your device before performing any OTA update to avoid bricking
