Google Increases File Share Limit To 50MB

Google has improved their emailing service by bumping up the size of files allowed to be shared on Gmail. Previously, Google had only allowed Gmail users share files of at most 25MB.

With this new Gmail update, you can now share file attachments up to 50MB.

However, there remains a "but", while the new Google update allows email recipients to recieve share files up to 50MB, senders remain limited to being able to send direct attachments up to 25MB.

The sender's restriction is because Google recommends users who wish to share files larger than 25MB make use Google Drive (which allows file sharing up to 5 Terabytes in size).

Google says the new update rollout would be completed within 3 days at which time it will be available to all Gmail users across the globe.
