Lineage OS Add Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, Galaxy Note 8, Others To List Of Supported Devices.

Sometime last year, the famous CyanogenMod was shutdown with the team diverging resources into a new brand i.e. Lineage OS.

Development of the Lineage OS has progressed and developed quite well despite the team being the financial backing it did with the CyanogenMod.

LineageOS is growing the number of supported devices, adds Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge and more

Device managers have progressively shifted from CyanogenMode to LineageOS codebase, gradually adding their ROMs to the official list of supported devices.

That said, the team has also continued the addition of  newer devices to the fold with the latest addition notably being the Samsung flagships: Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy Note 8 tablet - among others.

Official LineageOS ROMs are now available for Exynos-based Galaxy S7, model number SM-G930F and codename herolte, S7 Edge, model number SM-G935F, codename hero2lte, Galaxy Tab S2 9.7-inch Wi-Fi, codename gts210wifi and Tab S2 9.2-inch LTE, codename gts210ltexx. These devices have made the jump from CM13 to Android Nougat 7.1.1 based Lineage OS 14.1. Other tablets including the GSM codename n5100, Wi-Fi codename n5110 and LTE codename n5120 variants of Samsung Galaxy Note 8 tablet also have been updated to LineageOS 14.1.

The group has also added LineageOS 13 support to LeEco Le Pro 3 codename zl1 and LeMax2 codename x2. Last but not the least, LG devices, the AT&T version codename d850, Korean version codename f400 and the Verizon version codename vs985 are the latest devices from LG to gain LineageOS 14.1 support.

This is a welcome development for lovers of the now defunct CyanogenMod.
